As the store manager at the CVS in Tarrytown, NY, I implemented a succession plan for every position at the store. I discussed individual goals and strengths with every current employee and subsequent new hires with the purpose of fulfilling both store and employee needs. Training programs were set up for employees that showed interest in advancing their careers.
This impacted the store by improving employee engagement and team building. It also assisted with quickly filling vacancies in roles when they became available.
